From 1901 to Today
Every company has an origin story.
Ours begins in 1901, in Gouda, the Netherlands, where brothers Gerhard and Arie Jacob Nagtegaal founded Firma Gebrs. Nagtegaal. Built on craftsmanship, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit, these founding values laid the groundwork for what would become Gouda Refractories, and they continue to guide us today.
At the dawn of the 20th century, rapid industrial growth demanded bold decisions and long-term vision. From its earliest days, Gouda Refractories responded by developing reliable, high-quality refractory solutions for demanding industrial environments.
