Refractory Training Course 2024

From 4 to 6 June 2024, it was all about the Refractory Training Course at Gouda Refractories. This annual course is a fantastic opportunity for customers, partners, and enthusiasts to deepen their understanding of refractory materials.

For many years, this course has been led by our esteemed Technical Adviser, Marcel Franken, who has almost 40 years of industry expertise. Participants explored a wide array of topics, from raw materials and various product types to the production and installation processes of refractory materials. We were also privileged to have other experts from Gouda Refractories share their valuable insights.

A standout moment of the course was the field trip to Gouda Refractories’ production facilities, providing attendees with a practical perspective on the subject matter. There was also room for a pleasant get-together during a group dinner and an educational and cultural afternoon in the city of Gouda.

The course wrapped up on June 6th, 2024, with a certificate of participation award ceremony. We hope this course provided participants with meaningful insights into the world of refractory materials.

We are sad to announce that this was the final course led by Marcel Franken, as he is now retiring after nearly 22 years with Gouda Refractories. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Marcel for his exceptional service and wish him the very best in his retirement. Talented colleagues are ready to continue his legacy .

The next training course will be organized in June 2025.
